Chris Lee is a classical guitarist who performs, teaches, and composes in Knoxville TN. His primary instruction took place at Middle Tennessee State University, Austin Peay State University, and the University of North Texas.
In addition to his performance and scholarly efforts, Chris strives to build connections between artists, educators, and the wider community. A recipient of Fellowships in University Teaching and Arts Leadership, Chris Lee completed his Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of North Texas in May of 2012. He is currently the Education Content Manager for Austin Classical Guitar. Now in his third year with ACG, Chris manages the creation and editing of class guitar materials used by thousands of school students in Austin TX and many other places in the US and abroad. Chris also serves with ACG as co-creator and editor of fretbuzz.org, an online magazine featuring material by and about young classical guitarists throughout the US
